Luminit’s Round Tip Display (RTD) Film is a brightness-enhancing prismatic film engineered to increase the luminance of LCD displays by 30% to 40%. Designed for durability and performance, RTD film utilizes the principles of refraction and total internal reflection to recycle otherwise wasted light and redirect it toward the viewer, improving efficiency without increasing power consumption.

Unlike traditional sharp-tip prismatic films that are prone to cracking or breakage, Luminit’s RTD film features rounded prism tips that offer greater mechanical durability and reduce the risk of particulate contamination inside the display stack.

Embossed on a 10 mil polycarbonate substrate, RTD film delivers higher temperature durability compared to polyester-based films. It is available as a standalone prismatic layer or combined with an integrated diffuser on the back to reduce optical artifacts and minimize the number of films in the display stack, saving on both material and assembly time.
