Pay Range: $18.00 to $21.00 per hour

At Luminit, we develop state-of-the-art Holographic Optical Elements (HOEs) for next-generation AR applications, including Head-Up Displays (HUDs), Head-Worn Displays, and Helmet-Mounted Systems used in automotive, defense, and aerospace industries.
🔧 What You’ll Do:
- Support and eventually lead hologram replication processes
- Set up and operate holographic recording systems in our optical labs
- Prepare and process HOE materials for exposure and post-exposure
- Assist in measurement, testing, and characterization of holographic films
- Work closely with R&D and production teams to transition prototypes into real-world systems
🧠 What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent (AA or BS in physics, optics, photonics, or engineering a plus)
- 2+ years experience in an optical lab, preferably with laser or holography exposure
- Familiarity with lab instrumentation, optics alignment, and light-sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn and contribute

Job Title: Holographic Optical Engineer

Role Overview
As a Holographic Optical Engineer, you will support the design, execution, and scale-up of holographic optical element (HOE) systems, with a primary focus on automotive head-up display (HUD) applications. This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for both optical system design and the physical implementation of holographic recording systems.
You will work closely with the Optical Engineering Department Manager and cross-functional teams to design optical recording setups, support HOE manufacturing processes, and help transition lab-scale holographic technologies into pilot-line and high-volume roll-to-roll (R2R) manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Optical Design & System Planning
- Design optical layouts for HOE recording systems using ZEMAX
- Plan holographic recording configurations and system architectures based on application requirements
- Translate optical simulations into executable laboratory and manufacturing setups
Hands-On Optical System Execution
- Physically assemble and align optical systems to match ZEMAX-designed layouts
- Align microscope objectives using pinhole alignment techniques
- Tune, optimize, and stabilize laser systems used in holographic recording
- Execute and troubleshoot holographic recording table setups for manufacturing use
Manufacturing & Roll-to-Roll Support
- Support the development and optimization of roll-to-roll HOE manufacturing processes
- Assist in transitioning HOE fabrication from R&D to pilot-line and production environments
- Ensure optical system designs meet manufacturing constraints and throughput requirements
Customer & Application Support
- Provide optical design and technical support to Tier-1 automotive partners
- Support application-specific HOE designs for automotive HUD programs
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to resolve optical performance challenges
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (approximately 2 years with a Master’s degree or 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree)
- Proficiency in ZEMAX optical design software
- Demonstrated experience in optical system design, development, or manufacturing
- Hands-on experience with optical alignment, laser tuning, and laboratory setups
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional and customer-facing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with holographic optical elements (HOEs)
- Experience adapting lab-scale optical fabrication processes to pilot-line or volume manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with automotive HUD systems or display optics

Job Title: Sales Engineer
Department: Sales / Business Development

Role Overview
As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between customer requirements and Luminit’s advanced optical thin film technologies. This role blends deep optics expertise with consultative sales skills, working closely with customers and internal engineering teams to define, position, and deliver high-performance optical solutions across a range of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with OEMs, design engineers, procurement teams, and key decision-makers
- Understand customer requirements across lighting, automotive optics, sensors, imaging systems, and scientific instruments
- Provide technical consultation and recommend thin film solutions based on optical, environmental, and mechanical criteria
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to define and refine product specifications
- Respond to RFQs, manage quotes and pricing strategies, and support contract negotiations
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends
- Represent Luminit at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits
- Maintain accurate CRM records, provide sales forecasts, and report on key performance metrics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Optics, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably involving optical coatings, photonics, or precision optics
- Strong understanding of thin film technologies including AR coatings, mirrors, filters, beam splitters, and custom coatings
- Familiarity with applications in automotive lighting, LED or solid-state lighting, scientific instrumentation, or imaging systems
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25–50%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with optical component manufacturers, Tier 1 automotive suppliers, or lighting OEMs
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards and customer-specific requirements in regulated industries
- Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce, ERP systems, and quoting platforms
